Nano Banana prompt generator
Nano Banana is the nickname for Google’s Gemini image generation and editing model. It follows plain sentences and is especially good at editing a photo you upload, so this builder writes both kinds of prompt.

Prompting Nano Banana well
Describe the scene, don’t list keywords
Google’s guidance for Gemini image generation is to write a descriptive paragraph rather than a list of tags; the model’s language understanding does the rest.
For edits, say what stays the same
Name the change precisely and what must not change: “Change only the sky to a stormy sunset; keep the people, pose and lighting on faces unchanged.”
Keep characters consistent
Reuse the same detailed description of a person or product across prompts, and upload the earlier image as a reference when you continue a series.
Put text in quotes
For signs, labels or posters, write the exact words in quotes and describe the font style.

Questions
What is Nano Banana?
“Nano Banana” is the widely used nickname for Google’s Gemini image model (first released as Gemini 2.5 Flash Image), available in the Gemini app, Google AI Studio and the Gemini API. It generates images from text and edits uploaded photos with natural-language instructions.
How do I write a Nano Banana prompt?
Write one or two descriptive sentences covering subject, action, setting, style, lighting and camera. For edits, upload your photo, state the single change you want and list what must stay the same.
Can Nano Banana edit my photos?
Yes. Upload a photo in the Gemini app or AI Studio and give an edit instruction, e.g. “replace the background with a beach at golden hour, keep the person unchanged”. Use edit mode in this builder to write that instruction.
Can I turn an existing image into a Nano Banana prompt?
Yes. Use the image to prompt tool, choose Flux / GPT Image / Nano Banana as the target, then refine the result here.
